"Milky Way" was surrounded by a giant emptiness
After jointly conducted research works by Chinese and American scientists, it was concluded that the Milky Way is at the moment in the so-called void, that is, in other words, a huge emptiness in space. About this came a message from the publication called "ScienceAlert". The results of the research were shown at a recent conference of the American Astronomical Society.
If you look at the calculations, the "Milky Way" is now located right in the vsk, which is called "KBC". Such an empty space in cross section can reach about a billion light years. This is practically one of the largest formations in outer space.
According to the materials provided, the voids act as one of the small parts of the colossal structure of the universe. Their location is between the threads of galactic clusters. Emptiness can be in size from 40 (which equals 130 million light years) to several hundred megaparsecs. Directly inside them, the density of explicit matter is significantly lower than the average in the universe as a whole.
